Woah. I can honestly say i didn't expect to love this book as much as i did. This book was written in 2 POVS. I found Day and June such interesting and unique characters. They were so different from the typical YA characters and it was a relief to read about them. They were so clever and kiss-ass which most YA character aren't. I even loved the secondary characters like Tess, Metias who you couldn't help but love. The romance was very well layed out where it slowly developed and wasn't insta-love.
This book has no shortage of action, twists and turns. There were moments that shocked me and had me glued to the book. The pacing of the book was well done too. There was character development and the world-building made it so much more easier to imagine the scenes. I can see why this book would make such an excellent film (i think they're planning on it). The ending was such a rush of emotions and it definitely had me immersed.
The 2nd book Prodigy is out already and i hear it's even better than the first! Definitely going to continue with the series.
